Checking your applicants credit

• Log-in to your account using the first two steps
• Here you will be asked to select your payment method. You have the option to pay yourself or have the applicant pay via credit card
• Select the type of report you want to run. You will have the option of a full credit or leasing decision report. Both reports will include a National Criminal Search
• Enter you applicant's email address **Each applicant that you screen must have their own email address

How it works

• After you enter your applicant's email address, a request will be sent to them
• Your applicant will be asked to answer a series of personal identifying questions. After they have entered all of the required information and submitted the request the credit report will be run through TransUnion
• The results are returned directly to your email for you to make a leasing decision

NOTE: Given that these reports are not run by RHA, RHA staff will not be able to answer any questions regarding your report. Although Smartmove is an online screening process RHA recommends that you require all applicants fill out and sign an Application for Tenancy.
