Become an RHA Grassroots Volunteer!The effectiveness of any advocacy program is determined by the quality and quantity of a profession's Grassroots Volunteer. The RHA's commitment to high-quality government relations is reflected in the involvement of its Board of Directors, Government Affairs Committee, PAC Board, Government Affairs staff and an independent lobbying firm, all of whom manage the RHA's legislative initiatives. However, the Grassroots Volunteer is the face of the profession in their city, county and Olympia. Your elected representatives make decisions every day that affect you or your tenants. RHA Grassroots Volunteers play a vital role in helping legislators understand the impact and consequences of proposed legislation. Legislators carefully consider the viewpoints of the constituents in his/her own legislative district. That is the key to the RHA grassroots program. As a Grassroots Volunteer you will:
