EPA - Lead Paint

EPA decided to delay lead paint Certification enforcement to October 2010.

The new EPA's Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule goes into effect on April 22, 2010. Under the new rule (Lead: Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule) contractors performing renovation, repair and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in homes, child care facilities and schools built before 1978 must be certified and follow specific work practices to prevent lead contamination. Click here to read important information about lead paint.
