Heather Blume
Behind the Leasing Desk

     Heather Blume

Workshop Topic "Leasing Includes YOU!"
1:30-2:10 pm

Heather Blume grew up in Kansas and attended Kansas State University.  She has worked both on the on-site side of property management as well as a supplier. Over the years, she has educated hundreds of multifamily professionals and mentored several others. Her blog, Behind the Leasing Desk, boasts over 8,000 hits a month. Heather is also a featured writer in Multifamily Insiders where she also sits on the advisory board, the Property Manager E-zine by Appfolio, and UNITS Magazine, as well as several other apartment association magazines nationally.
Her special area of focus in the multifamily world is on the people side of the job.  From working with residents to engaging employees, Heather feels that working with people is the most important aspect of what we do. Marketing, Conflict Resolution, Traffic Generation, Social Media Engagement, and both Employee and Resident Retention all boils down to communication and knowing how to work with people.
She’s spoken at several conferences and trade shows, including Multifamily Pro's National Brainstorming Conference in 2009, where she also served as a facilitator, TRENDS Northwest 2009, and the 2009 WMFHA Education Conference.
