RHA's Annual Gathering

RHA hosted our Annual Gathering on October 22nd at the Museum of Flight. All 95 people in attendance had the opportunity to tour the museum from 4:30-6, after which they were able to network with other members over drinks and appetizers. Bill Jackson, RHA 2009 Board Chair, served as MC for the evening. The program began by recognizing our generous sponsors: Banner Bank, IREXA, Perfect Surface of WA and Sterling, Johnston and Associates, followed by the introduction of Associate Members in attendance. RHA President Julie Johnson gave a brief highlight of what has been going on at the association throughout 2009.
RHA Past Chair and current Board Member, Charlie Spaeth, had the wonderful opportunity to honor long time Councilmember Richard McIver for his years of service on Seattle’s City Council and his dedication to the rental housing industry. RHA was also fortunate enough to have 7 of our PAC supported candidates join us for the evening.

Every year, we recognize members that have gone above and beyond in their dedication to RHA and the rental housing industry. The 2009 Celebrate the Stars award winners were all presented gifts as a thank you for their commitment. This years winners were Helen Ewings (Rental Property Owner of the Year), Tina Gordon (Volunteer of the Year), Todd Hull of Banner Bank (Associate Member of the Year) and The Millionair Club Charity (Community Service Award).

RHA is successful in part because of all the work done behind the scenes. Our Board of Directors put in countless hours on behalf of our organization as well as the rental housing industry as a whole, and every year RHA recognizes their dedication. In addition, we have many members that volunteer their time in the form of educating our members at our educational seminars and membership events as well as write articles for our monthly newspaper, UPDATE. Each of these incredible individuals were recognized at the event.

The evening wrapped up with the introduction of RHA Staff and a thank you to all those in attendance. RHA is a thriving association because of our wonderful membership. Thank you again to our Annual Gathering Sponsors: Banner Bank, IREXA, Perfect Surface of WA and Sterling, Johnston and Associates.
